WEEKEND CUP 2025!

How time flies!

We are very excited to announce that the 10th anniversary of our
LRv3 multiplayer add-on is coming up this autumn. And of course we are looking forward
to commemorating this milestone together with our fantastic community and with everbody
out there who still has a soft spot for the unmatched Far Cry multiplayer experience.

We would like to invite everyone to stop by for the celebrations and join us for a whole
weekend of pure Far Cry gaming. As with all our annual Weekend Cups before, there will be
both an Assault and an FFA competition. For each game mode 3 matches will be played on
Saturday and 3 matches on Sunday, so 6 games in total to decide the winner of each tournament.

The Far Cry Weekend Cup 2025 will be hosted on the

15th and 16th of November.

Play for the victory or just for the fun of it. No matter if you are a longtime player or just
a beginner — don't be shy, it is free and everyone is welcome!

How to sign up for the Weekend Cup?

If you want to play in the Assault Cup or in the FFA Cup, we would like to ask you to sign up in
advance so that we can gauge player interest and organise these events accordingly. Please make
sure that you can play all the matches in each of these tournaments before you commit. Also keep in mind
that you must be present on our TeamSpeak 20 minutes before the competition starts.

How does the Weekend Cup work?

The winner of the FFA Cup will be the player with the highest kill count after all 6 matches have ended.
In case 2 or more players end up with the exact same amount of kills after all matches are finished, the
player with fewer suicides will be ranked higher.

For the Assault Cup we aim for 5 versus 5 matches.
The team setup will be decided on the spot by 4 appointed team captains who will pick their team members
one by one from the pool of available players right before the Cup starts.

The team that has the most points will be the winning team of the Assault Cup. In case 2 teams finish level
on points, the head-to-head matches (points, flag difference) will be used to decide who is winner.
If these stats don't break the tie, the combined kills of all team members involved in the direct duel will be
used. As a last resort, the overall kills of all team members in the whole tournament combined will decide.
If 3 or all 4 teams end up with the same amount of points, their overall number of captured flags will be used,
else they will be ranked as equal.

All Assault and FFA matches are scheduled alternately in different time slots, giving you the chance to
participate in both competitions. The Weekend Cup starts in the afternoon and continues into the early evening
hours, with ample breaks in between the matches. Please have a look at the timetable below.

During the Weekend Cup 2025 all players are required to join our official TeamSpeak server
(see TSViewer on the side menu) 20 minutes before the first match begins.
We ask all team captains and players to use the AFK channel during the breaks and not to leave TeamSpeak.
All players also need a working and updated Far Cry game and LRv3 add-on. If you need to reinstall or update
Far Cry, but encounter some issues, please contact the LRv3 Team for support
ahead of time (via Discord or Forum). We are happy to help you out.

Gaming Timetable

All matches will be held between 16 and 22 o'clock (CET time zone).
Players who participate in both cups will have a 30 minute break between matches.
If you sign up for the FFA Cup, you will play 3 matches per day.
If you sign up for the Assault Cup, you will also play 3 matches per day.

all Assault maps must be suitable for higher player numbers and have 3 flags in total.

Weekend Cup Prizes

Participants in our Far Cry Weekend Cup 2025 can look forward to receiving special prizes.
There will be certificates for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in both
the Assault Cup and the FFA Cup.

In addition to that, there will be participation certificates as a nice souvenir for everyone who
played during the Weekend Cup 2025. The only condition is that you must have signed up
for one of the two Cups beforehand and that you have played all your required matches.
All these certificates will be sent out via e-mail in the PDF file format, ready for printing (Print@Home).

In cooperation with TrackBase there will also be TrackBase Points (TBP) for each player.
These points will be distributed among all team players in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place of both Cups.
